Celia’s Top 10 Easter Tips

  1. “When my children were little, we would always read Easter stories in the lead up to Easter Sunday – it became our little tradition. The Velveteen Rabbit was a firm favourite. Lemon and blue striped cotton pyjamas couldn’t be more perfect for bedtime reading!”

  2. “An Easter-egg hunt is a much-loved tradition and one that brings such joy and excitement to the season’s festivities, even for those who no longer believe in the Easter Bunny! Meri Meri has the most wonderful collection of treats, including adorable woven bunny baskets for chocolate treasures, surprise carrots and more.”

  3. “Egg decorating is the perfect Easter activity. I like the idea of displaying beautiful cherry blossom branches, hung with eggs hand-painted by the children.”

  4. “A visit to Art 4 Fun, for an afternoon of painting mugs and bowls and pretty ornaments, is always delightful. Your little one can get really creative, and leave with a memento to remind them of a lovely afternoon.”

  5. “What little girl or boy doesn’t like dressing up? I think Meri Meri’s rabbit costumes in blue gingham and powder-pink tulle are sure to be a hit! And for the youngest members of the family, who might not be into capes and bunny ears yet, you can’t go wrong with a knitted duck intarsia set.”

  6. “Family time is something to be treasured. Once all the eggs have been found and devoured, Easter really is a wonderful moment to start afresh and be thankful for what we have. I have lovely memories of long Easter weekends spent as a family in Granada, where I’m from, and it has always been important to me to make this holiday really fun, creative and memorable for our children as well as for us! We especially love decorating our lunch table with a different theme each year, and my daughters and I will be wearing dresses from my collaboration with Hill House Home – a capsule for mama and mini in the prettiest of prints and silhouettes.”

  7. “I adore dressing and decorating a table, and this is something I have passed on to my daughters. From arranging daffodils and narcissi in delicate glass bud vases to selecting the crockery and napkins, I love to make it a fun activity for all the family and I like the flowers at the table to do the talking.”

  8. “We love to cook as a family and we like to encourage our children to make their own dishes. It is a lovely way for us all to catch up while creating delicious recipes for the long weekend.”

  9. “An absolute must for young children this Easter is London Zoo’s Zoonormous Egg Hunt – the name says it all!”

  10. “I’ve recently moved to Marylebone and I am looking forward to a spring picnic in the park with family and friends, set amongst the blooms in the beautiful rose garden. If you and the children are feeling adventurous, rent a pedalo!”
